Welcome from the Head of School
I feel honoured to serve as Head of School at our wonderful Church of England Primary. St Mary’s is a very special place where children are nurtured, inspired, and encouraged to achieve their very best within a caring environment. Our school is built on strong values of love, respect, faith, perseverance, and service, which guide everything we do. These values shape our daily life together and help our children grow not only as learners but also as kind and thoughtful individuals.
One of the many things that makes our school unique is our beautiful woodland, where pupils enjoy Forest School sessions that bring learning to life in the outdoors. Alongside this, we offer wrap-around care from 7:30am to 6:00pm and a wide range of after-school clubs. These opportunities mean that children not only develop academically but also grow in confidence, creativity, and independence. Our aim is that every child looks forward to coming to school each day and leaves us with a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
We are proud of the strong partnerships we build with families, and our wider community. At St Mary’s, we believe education is a shared journey, and by working together we can provide the very best experiences for our pupils.
I warmly invite you to explore our website further to see more of what we offer. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with our school office. It would be my pleasure to show you around, and give you a sense of the happy, vibrant atmosphere that makes St Mary’s so special.
I look forward to meeting you,
Mrs Alison Nettleship
