Oversubscription Criteria

All children whose statement of special educational needs names St Mary’s School will be admitted.

If the Academy is oversubscribed the remaining places are then offered in the following order of priority:

1. Children who are Looked After or Previously Looked After.

2. Children with a sibling on roll at St Mary’s at the time of admission.

After criteria 1 and 2 have been applied, the remaining places are divided in half.

3. 50% are designated as Foundation Places Open Places and allocated to practising Christian families.

4. Up to 50% of the remaining places are designated as Open Places allocated according to distance form the school.

Within each criterion, applicants are prioritised according to distance.
