SEND Information

Through our Christian ethos, we teach children to hear, understand and live the word of God, helping them to give back to the world as global citizens. As every child is uniquely created in God’s image, we nurture their individual development through a holistic approach to all aspects of life.

At St Mary’s, we have a strong commitment to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). Our SENDCO works with school staff, parents, governors, the local authority and external professionals to support pupils with additional educational needs.

The SENDCO can be contacted via the school’s main number: 020 3693 0510 or by email: send@stmarysschoolng.org

We aim to identify pupils with SEND as early as possible and have a focus on early interventions in order to allow children greater access to the curriculum. For every child of SEND we make reasonable adjustments in order support them in their learning and development in all areas in their schooling.

If you are concerned that your child may have an additional educational need, speak first to the class teacher. The class teacher will share their observations and discuss your concerns with the SENDCO. The SENDCO may then contact you to discuss any concerns and how they may be addressed.
