Mrs Mutch began her teaching career in 1999 as a Reception teacher. She has taught across the primary key stages, later becoming an Assistant Head, then Deputy Head at her previous school. As a staff governor, she played a key role during the expansion, amalgamation and building works at her last school. Jane has a wealth of experience in curriculum design and development, staff development and teacher training.
Mrs Hale completed teacher training in Church of England schools through the London Diocesan Board for Schools, specialising in the Early Years Foundation Stage. After qualifying she taught in central London and then spent time teaching in New Zealand. She joined St Mary's in 2016 and now leads phonics and religious education.
Ms Collins qualified as an Early Years & Key Stage 1 Teacher in 2017. Previously, she worked as a Teaching Assistant supporting children with additional needs in both high school and primary school settings. Ms Collins is passionate about teaching children with a view to supporting their individual needs and has great aspirations for every child.
Ms Malik has a BEng (Honours) in Aeronautics. She has many years' teaching experience and is the English lead and Chair of the School Council (pupil voice). She believes in nurturing young minds; making their learning journey more valuable and memorable. As a passionate educationalist, she advocates 'Quality First Education for ALL' irrespective of their social, cultural, economic or religious background.
Mrs Kataria is our Elm Class teacher. She has a BSc (Honours) in Psychology and a Post Graduate certificate in Education from Kingston University. Mrs Kataria is very passionate about teaching and allows her children to think ‘outside the box’. She has experience with different cultures and backgrounds and is able to adapt to ensure her classroom is inclusive.
Mrs Vodila has a BA (Honours) degree in geography and English language & literature. She enjoys teaching the children about our lovely planet and all the exciting places around the world. Mrs Vodila is also particularly interested in sports and outdoors, organising various competitions for children and founding a weekly running club for all the staff members at St Mary’s.
Although I was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina), I grew up in the paradisiac Tenerife Island until I was 22 years old, where I studied my university degree (Primary School Education with a major in English). After that, I moved to Madrid to complete my Masters in High Standard Education and Diversity Needs. Following my dream to move abroad, I lived in Dublin for almost 2 years and then roads brought me to London in 2019. 4 cities, 2 degrees, 6 years of experience and much more to learn and to teach.
Mrs El Saidi has worked at St Mary's School since January 2016. She supports the school in a number of roles including Leadership cover, PPA cover and in many other vital areas. She has a wealth of experience having taught in schools and in an advisory capacity.
Mrs Obaid has worked as a Teaching Assistant for 14 years in a variety of schools, ranging from Montessori, private, mainstream and SEN. She brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for working with children from different cultures and backgrounds.
Mrs Salem has worked in a number of schools supporting children's learning. She takes pride in helping them to reach their full potential in all areas of their development
Miss Charry has a passion for Early Years, having been described by colleagues and parents as magical and cheerful. Throughout her career she has had many opportunities to work with children with additional learning needs, incorporating circle and sensory times in her teaching. Her creativity is displayed in the classroom and throughout the school. As a Spanish speaker, Miss Charry regularly supports children across KS1 to learn Spanish.
Mr Wiggins joined St. Mary’s school in 2018. He has worked across all years in primary schools in both New Zealand and London. He enjoys supporting children to reach their full potential and achieve their goals
Mrs Toms has worked in education since 1999 both in Russia and the UK. She has also worked as a nanny and as a volunteer within Children’s Centres. Luidmila holds First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates.
Mrs Maqbool is an experienced Administrator and is delighted to support the Trustees and the Head in the running of St Mary’s School. Being a local resident for most of her life, she is excited to be a part of this Church of England school in Norwood Green.
Mr Plummer is an experienced Site Manager and has a passion for site security and the safeguarding of our children. He also takes great pride in ensuring that our school always looks its best.
Mrs Riyat has a longstanding background of working in finance and this is her first experience of working in a school. She looks forward to contributing and supporting her colleagues and is excited to be a part of the childrens' education.
Mrs Pankhania was born and raised in Sri Lanka. There she joined the Ceylon Hotel School to study hospitality. After moving to the UK in 2009 she worked in retail before successfully completing a Diploma in Food Production and Cookery and has since worked as a chef in both primary and secondary schools.
Mrs Diniz studied accounting and finance in Goa, India, working as an accountant before coming to the UK. She enjoys cooking and learning new recipes.
